Posted in Pop Culture with tags Cordelia's Dad, dedicated covers, melt my face, music, traditional songs in unconventional ways, Will the Circle be Unbroken on January 10, 2011 by lipstuckThis band used to play around Western Mass. They’d split their sets into two parts, an electric set (which this song was a part of) and a set featuring traditional songs on traditional acoustic instruments. At the time, I didn’t understand why they’d waste their time playing that quiet folk music.
I mean, come on let’s get punk rock! Dye our hair! Be angry! Most of the kids filling the rented halls agreed.
Of course I now recognize on a daily basis that the only difference between me and a dumb wet rock is the fact that I wear pants.
This band continues to play and is better than a red wagon full of lemonade on a hot summer day.
